The Warsaw stop on the PokerStars European Poker Tour has drawn to a close and Italy’s Dario Minieri has another third place finish to add to his resume. Dario was close to glory yet again, but could not to convert a strong position into victory. He collected $154,503 for third, and his next tournament triumph must be only a matter of time. Dario’s all-time EPT winnings now stand at $790,465.
The World Series of Poker* has a new champion, and it’s Team PokerStars Pro Dario Minieri. The young Italian, who hails from Rome, beat a field of 1,019 players to win Event 31, the $2,500 No Limit Hold’em held at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, taking home $528,418 for the victory. An understandably ecstatic Minieri told PokerStars.tv: “I’m very happy that I have finally won something, and now I know that I can do it.”
The PokerStars European Poker Tour Season 3 San Remo tournament attracted some of the world’s best players, and Italian phenomenon Dario Minieri managed an excellent third place on home turf. Minieri negotiated a field of 701 players to finish in the bronze medal position for $454,366. This result takes Minieri’s career winnings at EPT tournaments to $634,365.
